Sarah – Founder & Director of EQ Lounge
Sarah is the founder and heart behind EQ Lounge, a specialist skin clinic and academy in Plymouth known for expert electrolysis and blemish removal. With nearly two decades of experience in the industry, she’s not only a skilled therapist and educator, but also a proud mum of two boys, who remain her biggest motivation and inspiration.
Starting her career as a beauty therapist in 2006, Sarah was Plymouth’s very first eyelash technician. But over time, her passion shifted toward skin health, particularly the life-changing impact of permanent hair removal through electrolysis. She found her true niche working with trans women, menopausal women, and those with PCOS, who often experience facial hair growth that affects confidence and self-esteem.
Sarah quickly developed a reputation for her gentle approach and deep understanding of the emotional weight hair growth can carry. Her clients describe her as someone who “just gets it” – and who delivers not just visible results, but emotional relief too.
She also specialises in the safe and effective removal of skin imperfections like skin tags, milia, thread veins, and age spots, making her clinic a go-to destination in the South West for advanced electrolysis treatments.
EQ Lounge was born in 2014 in a tiny room above a dental surgery, built from Sarah’s dream to support herself and her eldest son. She had no idea it would grow into the brand it is today: a thriving skin clinic, a training academy, and a pro product line, all under one umbrella.
Sarah has trained thousands of beauty professionals, and continues to lead EQ Lounge with care, integrity, and unstoppable drive. Whether she’s training the next generation of therapists or helping a client finally feel confident in their skin, Sarah’s mission is always the same: to empower others through knowledge, results, and kindness.
